sleds & sun

With temperatures creeping into the 30's it was impossible not to go outside! The kids went sledding this weekend...FUN all around.
Wipe outs AND snow up their noses...still didn't slow these two down!
After a long day of sledding, Noah resumes his 'texting homework' on Madeline's "texter"...:)
A typical Sunday for Tiger, Rob & Cricket
When asked to make a snow-angel...somehow the kids didn't see the humor in mommy's version! :)

thinking spring

As the watering can collects more snow; she wonders...will I ever get to sprinkle my spring/summer-time flower friends again?

jicama/snow/teamAmy!

Jicama:   The large, edible, tuberous root of a tropical American plant, Pachyrhizus erosus, of the legume family, eaten as a vegetable either raw or boiled.  Should NOT be put in the same bag as one's tomatoes.  Don't let this shiny, mildly acid, pulpy, red fruit fool you, it's other garden friends took one for the team;  & now I have ONE tomato for my salads this week.  On the upside...I have plenty of jicama.
Snow storm #587,892,468 this season.

At least inside is full of color & fun! Who wouldn't want to walk with this team of lovely ladies?!?! Copy and paste the link below to your browser... join 'Team Amy!'       :)

Soccer!

"Sometimes being a brother is better than being a superhero..."
Madeline: "Sam, do I LOOK like I'm kidding? Didn't think so. Now, give that BACK!"
Noah saying his "prayings".
Madeline goes to a soccer clinic...getting ready for the summer season!

Pretty sure this won't be the last time she has the boys running circles around her...
Practicing...

Listening & planning their next play...
And....she...scores!!!
It's MINE!
Go GREEN!!!!

Will you be mine?

This was such a fun day.  We were telling the kids that this particular picture was taken before we were married; and also on this fateful day Rob was chased...by a gaggle of angry geese.  True story.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Grandpa Curt & Haiti

Grandpa Curt!

Master Sam Ferguson was really excited to introduce his grandpa that lived at the bottom of a volcano.  Mt Rainier is technically a volcano you know...
At the park...

Miss Madeline & Grandpa Curt, Madeline tries out her new bike helmet & knee pads (bikes will have to wait for warmer weather...so we broke out the skate board).

Noah Baker busting a move!
:)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam came home from 2nd grade & said (very seriously with a lot of expression), "Mommy, LOOK at all of my action figures; do you really think I need all these action figures? I don't think so.  I'm giving them to Haiti."
It's hard to tell the kids that Haiti really needs money at this point.  But, as Sam said, young kids need to play with something while they are waiting....
Camelrific day
Noah Baker had a play date with fellow almost-four-year-old Allie.  This started out as an ordinary play-date....
until Allie's mom Teri the Terrific took them to her husbands vet clinic...to feed a camel!!!
He loved the camels & horses but was unhappy that no cows were represented....:)
